Correct Client-Server Base

Postby Xerana » Fri Apr 22, 2016 10:22 am

I've setup a server, following the instructions on this site but I can't seem to find the correct file structure.

Normal maps + official DLCs are loading perfectly fine, but when I'm trying to load, let's say, Nuketown, it crashes. I use a copy of reactIW4 server, with all DLCs included.

So, I guess I use an incorrent server base. I still have 4D1 server files, should I use LaunchIW4.exe on this?

Thanks.

Currently, some patches which make nuketown, and such, work, are disabled. That is due to them being made in a hacky way, that shouldn't be used. My research into custom maps gave me an insight on how to make the maps themselves convert much better, so the previous method isn't used. That's why it won't work for a while more.

Also, yes. LaunchIW4M.exe is both the client and server updater. Launch your server with LaunchIW4M.exe -dedicated, and it will auto-update on startup if outdated. Other parameters are as usual.

So there's no problem using LaunchIW4 on reactIW4 server files, right?
